Inspiring you to read out of your bubble, one book at a time

Hey there! It’s time for a little soul update regarding my blog 💛

When I started Readers’ High Tea, almost 7 years ago, little did I know that book blogging will stick around for so much time. At that point I just wanted a place to share my own thoughts about books I read, without much hope that anyone other than my friends will read it 🙂

Fast forward to 2023 – it feels a bit different now. I went through multiple stages, from reading classics to reading contemporary authors, books from Romania and books from all over the world. And I realised that what inspires me most to continue blogging about books is to inspire others get out of their bubbles, one book at a time. ‘Cause there’s such a big and wonderful world out there! We might not have the time nor the money to visit all the places in the world … but those magical places can be at our fingertips (literally!) 😉

Reading out of your bubble, one book at a time – this is what I aim to inspire you to do. I’ve already taken this path some time ago, and now it feels like it’s here to stay. Reading out of your bubble cultivates empathy, builds bridges, fosters appreciation for our shared humanity.

The picture above shows just a glimpse of my “reading around the world” bookshelf – amazing stories from Indonesia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Barbados, and Nigeria. I read 4 out of these books and I can guarantee that there’s a lot of learning in them – from traditions and local beliefs to how political situations impacted normal people from those countries.

I’ll continue blogging and being active on social media (readershightea on Instagram and Facebook), focusing now much more on my mission to inspire people to read out of their bubbles.

Thank you so much for being with me on this journey and let’s all read out of our bubbles, one book at a time! Have a wonderful day! 💕

‘Till next time … happy reading!

Georgiana
