Hello and welcome to a first-of-its-kind post on my blog: answering a nomination tag from a fellow blogger (thanks, Erin!) 🙂

readers high tea mystery award

This award (which reminds me of the kids’ game “Tag, you’re it”) was created by Okoto Enigma and has the following rules:

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog √
  2. List the rules √
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog √
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well √
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  6. You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
  7. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  8. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  9. Share a link to your best post(s)

Let’s do this!

► Tell your readers 3 things about yourself

  1. I love trying out coffee places when travelling to new cities
  2. My favourite dessert is chocolate ice cream
  3. I do not like reading YA novels

► Answers to Erin’s questions

1. Which book got you interested in reading?

I enjoy reading since childhood, and I have 2 books that got me interested in reading: Fram, the Polar Bear by Cezar Petrescu (this was the first “real” book I read, I was around 7 years old) and Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (I was around 10 when I read it and for a very long time it was my favourite book).

2. What’s your biggest bookish pet peeve?

Writing on books!

3. What’s your greatest strength as a reader? Greatest weakness?

I think my greatest strength as a reader is my determination to read a book even when I’m not 100% into it. And I consider it a strength because I’ve read books that did not seem so promising at the beginning, but became very intriguing after the first 50-100 pages.

My greatest bookish weakness is that I might not always have enough patience when reading so I don’t pay much attention to details … I prefer following the main narrative path and maybe overlook some details rather than paying attention to all the tiny aspects of the story.

4. What author would you like to interview and why?

Carlos Ruiz Zafón, because I would simply like to see how he’s like 🙂 (given that he’s my favourite author at the moment)

5. What are your favourite kind of blog posts to write?

I like writing about things that are adjacent to books. For example, I wrote about book covers around the world, bookish news (which included bookish events and projects), books & tech … I think the whole bookish universe is so much more than books themselves, so I enjoy exploring these aspects on my blog.

► Nominations

► My questions for the nominees

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. What motivates you to keep writing on your blog?
  3. What are your favourite kind of blog posts to write? (I liked to much Erin’s question that I want to find out more answers)
  4. What is your least favourite book genre?
  5. What are your top 3 holiday destinations?

► A link to my best post

I do not have a preferred post, but I am very proud of my WanderBooks project 🙂 If you haven’t heard/read about it, now it’s your chance – link here!

‘Till next time … happy reading!

  1. that’s so interesting that you write about the bookish world in general outside of the books themselves! i don’t think many people do that, despite how fascinating it is 🙂 thanks so much for the nomination!!!
