When two of your hobbies meet in the same blog post … there’s a lot of enthusiasm involved for sure! At the intersection of bookish blogging and travelling, I found today’s Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Take Place In Another Country (I guess another country than the one I live in).

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

When I discovered today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme I felt really inspired to share with you the top 10 books I read that take place in another country than the one I live in (Romania), so here we are. First I will present 5 books that refer to further away countries (other continents than Europe), and then 5 books from close-by European countries. Most of the books mentioned are also reviewed on my blog, so I provided links in case you want to find out more about them 🙂

While thinking what books to include in this post I realized that are so many countries/regions about whose literature I know nothing about! For example, I haven’t read any books from Africa or South America … so if you have any recommendations, please tell me in the comments section! Thanks!

‘Till next time … happy reading!
