I join this week’s Top Ten Tuesday with 10 places where I love reading 😀 Writing this post brought back so many precious memories, I hope you’ll enjoy reading it!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. Check it out for lovely ideas of blog posts!
1) Reading on my terrace
Let’s start with my favourite – reading on my terrace! I live in a quiet area where I can enjoy reading outside while hearing only the birds flying by. Surrounded by my plants, with a cup of coffee, on my comfortable bench … perfect day!

2) Reading on the beach
Also a top favourite – reading on the beach! There’s something special and so relaxing about reading while only hearing the waves on the background. The picture was taken during one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had, on a beautiful beach in Mauritius.

3) Reading next to a window
I love reading next to a window with a great view! ❤ The photo below is taken at an isolated cabin in the mountains, a great place to read for hours without any interruption.

4) Reading at a coffee shop
I enjoy going out for coffee and brunch, and I usually take a book with me as well. While eating I focus on the food, and while drinking coffee … that’s another story! 🙂

5) Reading next to the Christmas tree
Reading next to the Christmas tree is usually possible only a few weeks a year, and maybe that is what makes it so special. Plus the holiday spirit, maybe a bit of knitting, and the anticipation of winter holidays … you know, there are only 4 months left ’till we get there!

6) Reading on the plane
Being on a plane is something that might happen less frequent than Christmas, given the pandemic circumstances. However, I remember enjoying A LOT being up in the clouds, just me and my book, with many hours ahead when there’s nothing to do but read.

7) Reading in a library
I used to read in the library during my studies. There’s something about libraries that entice you to read and read and read … maybe that you see so many other people reading?! The picture below is taken at State Library of Victoria in Melbourne, a place I visited during my holiday there few years ago.

8) Reading in the garden
If the weather is pleasant (not too hot, not too cold), reading in the garden, eventually on the grass field, is great! Below is a picture taken during a holiday in Romania, at a very cosy accommodation where I enjoyed a couple of hours of reading in the garden.

9) Reading in the park
As you can see, I like reading outdoors! 🙂 Chilling on a bench in the park while observing passersby from time to time used to be a way to escape the crowded city.

10) Reading while on holiday
The final place to read is a generic one … I love reading anywhere the holiday journey takes me to! Next to a lake or up in the mountains, in a small mountain village or a crowded capital city – holidays are the perfect time for reading.

What are your favourite places to read? I’d love to get inspired by your ideas!
‘Till next time … happy reading!

It looks ss though you have been to lots of lovely places! Romania looks lovely, a much more beautiful country than I think people in the UK perhaps imagine it to be.

Yes, I agree, Romania is such a beautiful country! It is (still) a hidden gem of Eastern Europe 😀

I read just about anywhere…waiting in the doctor’s surgery, in my loungeroom, in bed, in the park, on holidays…the list is a big one. Although, Romany looks lovely.
