When blogging meets books there's a high chance of having an ever-increasing To-Be-Read list ... and I am guilty as charged! That's why I chose to participate in today's Top Ten Tuesday and share with you 7 recent additions to my To-Read List, with a spin: I refer to books that I added on my … Continue reading The Ten Most Recent Additions to My To-Read List inspired by other bloggers (Top Ten Tuesday)

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm Georgiana and I'm passionate about books. Guilty as charged :)
You can find me reading mostly fiction (especially dystopian stories and climate fiction), some memoirs, and a tiny bit of poetry.

I also love travelling, yoga, road cycling, mangoes, coffee, and vanilla ice cream.

“For wisdom, try a beech; for intelligence, a pine; for bravery, a rowan; for generosity, a hazel; [..] Then again, if it’s love you’re after, or love you have lost, come to the fig, always the fig.” 💞 When did John Wyndham become so popular in my bookshelf? 🤩 There are only a few other authors from whom I have 4+ books - Margaret Atwood, Elif Shafak, Kazuo Ishiguro, and Haruki Murakami. The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida won the Booker Prize in 2022 – that’s how I first heard about it. I only knew it told the story of a war photographer from Sri Lanka who died and woke up in a “celestial visa office”. Quite intriguing, isn’t it?! Sunny books - some of my favourites of all times ☀️ #shelfie #books #bookstagram #cititoridinromania #favouritebooks #solarcolours #sunshine #sunnyvibes #shelves https://www.instagram.com/reel/CpGJbQdOCyJ/ Tookie is a tough cookie 💪 The main character from The Sentence by Louise Erdrich is one-of-a-kind - with a troubled past, she is now settled for a quieter life as a bookseller 📚 All seems fine, until one of her customers dies and refuses to leave the bookstore 👻⠀ What's LOVE? A feeling? A way of living? Or just a dream? ✨  Welcome to the family, dear Don Quijote! 💫  2022 favourites I read as physical books 💫   Oh yes, I did it! Filmed myself and shared on social media for the first time ✨It’s not even close to being perfect, there are pauses and extra “aaa …”, and maybe that makes it more authentic. It’s not easy getting yourself out there, but it is super rewarding to befriend your biggest fears. Have a lovely lovely day! ☀️ Margaret Atwood - what a force of nature! Today I would like to pay tribute to one of my favourite authors, one of the women I admire the most, and one of the most wonderful human beings ✨  Reading a book written by a friend is a really special moment ✨ You can easily imagine that friend talking to you, explaining with warmth and with the best intentions. But the way this book is written ... I am sure that even if you don't know Mário, you will still feel he's your friend while reading his book ☺️
