“A breathtaking symphony of black women’s voices”: Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo (book review)

"Girl, Woman, Other" is a book that brings together unique elements and blends them into a fascinating story. Among others, fusion fiction and Adinkra symbols.

Looking for a specific book / topic?

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm Georgiana and I'm passionate about books. Guilty as charged :)
You can find me reading mostly fiction (especially dystopian stories and climate fiction), some memoirs, and a tiny bit of poetry.

I also love travelling, road cycling, mangoes, coffee, and chocolate ice cream. In my professional life I help companies optimize their performance.

Oh yes, I did it! Filmed myself and shared on social media for the first time ✨It’s not even close to being perfect, there are pauses and extra “aaa …”, and maybe that makes it more authentic. It’s not easy getting yourself out there, but it is super rewarding to befriend your biggest fears. Have a lovely lovely day! ☀️ Margaret Atwood - what a force of nature! Today I would like to pay tribute to one of my favourite authors, one of the women I admire the most, and one of the most wonderful human beings ✨  Reading a book written by a friend is a really special moment ✨ You can easily imagine that friend talking to you, explaining with warmth and with the best intentions. But the way this book is written ... I am sure that even if you don't know Mário, you will still feel he's your friend while reading his book ☺️  Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? 💫  My favourite type of mornings 📚⠀ Reading with such a beautiful view - priceless 💫  Summer holiday vibes ☀️🏔⠀ Weekend vibes ✨ Golden hour at its best ✨⠀ Time travelling ⏳and life on the Moon 🌒⠀
